Shadowing & Observations

If you would like to visit, meet our team, see our space and observe the way we do what we do, please get in touch.

We usually have 1-2 students visiting us per month and it's always a great learning experience!

Who Are We?

We are currently a team of 24 (which includes 10 Chiropractors) in two vibrant, modern, successful clinics on the south coast of England. As we grow the business further, we are looking for a new Associate to join our busy team.

If you’re interested, we would love to have you visit and see the practice and team in person!

What's In It For You?

Our goal is to give you support and mentoring within a range of techniques to allow your adjusting skills to develop in a clear and specific way, so that you can deliver the very best Chiropractic care to the community. We are also focused on ensuring you have strong skills to communicate and educate clients as they start their care journey with us.

We believe the training and support we now offer our Chiropractors is second to none. After the initial 4-8 weeks' intense training period we continue with 1-1 mentoring, observations, internal seminars and team training sessions with our senior Chiropractors Alex Becu and Tom Gordon in our purpose built space at our head office.

We are so keen to grow and develop our team that each year we also set aside a budget for each Chiropractor to cover the cost of external training and seminars in such things as Paediatrics, Gonstead, Toggle, Syntropy, SOT and Upper Cervical Adjusting.

Communication

  • Learn to engage, build trust and rapport with people in a way that makes them feel comfortable and cared for

  • Develop your ‘clinical intuition’, connecting deeper with people’s needs and desires beyond their symptoms and/or conditions (i.e. to being able to spend time with their family, not lose their job and regain their confidence in their body)

  • Advance your awareness of client’s body language and behaviour so that you can meet them where they are and elevate them to where they need to be

  • Fine tune how you educate clients to understand their body, how it heals and where chiropractic can support them

  • Learn to think on your feet by digging deeper into human psychology so that you’re always ready for any questions, comments, disagreement or objection

  • Learn how to increase the number of people that say “YES” to you and to Chiropractic in a calm, honest and ethical way

  • Develop your way you manage challenging people and situations, avoid complaints and keep yourself and the patient safe

Clinical Skills

  •  Develop specific assessment techniques to physically, functionally, neurologically and bio-mechanically evaluate a range of clients, including babies, pregnant women, children, athletes, geriatrics etc

  • Learn further objective clinical tests (related to balance, co-ordination, gait, posture mobility & strength) to capture a more complete picture of the client’s health and function, allowing you to predict outcomes and measure progress more effectively

  • Learn how to support people and their conditions (not just neuro-musculoskeletal!) such as MS, CMT, developmental challenges, failed surgery cases, post-stroke, digestive issues etc

  • Gain knowledge of concise procedures/systems to allow for organised (and GCC compliant!) delivery of different recommendations and plans for clients.

  • Receive support and training for best practice collaboration with other health care professionals (Dentist, Physios, MDs, PTs and therapists) such as face-to-face, talks, letter writing, note and calls.

You will be guided by a strong clinical set-up and systems/procedures which keep us resilient and compliant with the GCC, legal and ASA (guidance in notes/documentation, letters, legal, justification process, communication and follow up)

Imaging

  •  Progress your x-ray technique to allow you to get precise, accurate and reliable diagnostic images

  • Build your confidence in reading and analysing images for accurate interpretation. Use our DACBR to confirm and further learn from your findings.

  • Further build your skills and confidence in integrating relevant imaging findings into the clinical findings and support the team to deliver specific care, advice and recommendations.

  • Gain the support from a clinic that has well established legal, medical, Health & Safety, Local rules, IRMER and IRR files systems/procedures to ensure an efficient yet safe and secure space for you and the client
